WorkSpace delivered the full fit-out of Ulster Television’s new broadcasting and production facility within the City Quays 2 development in Belfast, creating a bright, modern, and state-of-the-art working environment.

The project involved the transformation of an 11,400 sq ft, 8th-floor shell space into high-specification accommodation tailored to the needs of a broadcasting organisation. Particular emphasis was placed on the delivery of soundproofed studio areas, alongside high-quality spaces for HD broadcasting services, corporate offices, editing and creative suites, news administration, and finance and sales teams.

Scope of works included structural alterations, M&E installation, sound insulation, data cabling, flooring, ceilings, and decoration - all completed to the highest standard.

In response to restricted on-site parking for contractors, WorkSpace introduced a Green Travel Policy to encourage car sharing and the use of public transport, successfully reducing traffic to the site and minimising environmental impact.

The completed facility provides UTV with a modern broadcasting base, purpose-built to support both current and future operational needs.
